HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

Session lengths vary depending on the type of service you require. Typical counselling sessions are around 50min, unless it is your first time with us, which may take a little bit longer. Specific trauma focused interventions (e.g., EMDR) may be scheduled for a longer time period--additional fees apply

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

In consideration of other clients who are waiting for appointment times, please provide at least 72hrs notice for all cancellations or rescheduling. Less than 72hrs notice will be incur a late cancellation fee of $100, which increases to $150 if less than 48hrs notice is provided. Clients who do not attend their appointment or who contact the office to cancel or reschedule within 24hrs of their appointment will be charged the full applicable session fee. This fee is a subsidy for the time that has been set aside for you.  Medicare and Private Health Fund Rebates do not apply to cancelled or missed appointments.

DO YOU BULK BILL?

Unfortunately we do not provide bulk billing services at South Beach Psychology.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL?

You do not need a referral to see a psychologist; however, you will require a GP referral and mental health care plan if you intend to claim a partial rebate through Medicare.

DO YOU ACCEPT PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE?

Each private health insurer will have different requirements and rebates based on your level of funding. It is important that you confirm your entitlements directly through them.
